I visited Jolta Java the other day and had a latte. I really like the atmosphere of Jolta Java, but found my latte leaving a lot to be desired. The foam just wasn’t right. Hope next time it’s better.
Here is a 20 second video clip I took:

The best way to describe Red Espresso is making tea with your espresso machine. Got that? Okay, then watch this video which shows someone making some drinks.
Thanks for the tip Tomas!

I posted about Kitchen Nightmares a few weeks ago. But wanted to post again to let you all know you can watch the episodes for free online. I think if you own a coffee shop or a restaurant, you could learn a lot by watching.

A funny video chastising Starbucks for the way they name their drink sizes.
Thanks to Copper Star Coffee for sending the link!
My friend Mike sends me this video showing a Clover in operation.
Queen Creek residents are set to get their own gem of a coffee shop. Scheduled to open in November, Daily Buzz Coffeehouse will be a great place to go for coffee, food, and to hang out.
Daily Buzz Coffeehouse is the brainchild of Bill McCauley, who is also the owner of Red Rock Foods.
Since this is […]
I drove up to Cave Creek yesterday for a meeting and stopped at Cave Creek Coffee Company. They have quite the morning rush of customers. I was there at 8 am and was surprised by the number of people coming and going.
I had a few moments so I took this video (before my drink and […]
I was browsing around this neat color pallet web site this weekend, and stumbled across this innovative coffee lid. It changes color based on the heat in the drink. I’ll let the video do the talking.

Here’s a neat video showing how to make Turkish coffee.
Here’s a neat video about how solar roasting coffee works. I found it online, and it’s by the same folks I reported on last week, www.solarroast.com.
On Wednesday I visited Ritual Coffee in San Francisco. The first thing I noticed about Ritual was the long line out the door. I’ve never seen a line out the door at a coffee shop before.
I decided to go for a latte. We were short on time so we all ordered cups to-go (and then […]
Robert Sandie, one of the founders of Viddler.com (a video sharing site I am a part of) visited with Chestnut Hill Co’s barista, John Hornall in Philadelphia recently. While there he took this great video.
Robert Sandie writes: In the coffee community he is a very well known barista and former co-owner of Hines Public Market […]
This afternoon I wanted to kill some time so I went over to the Cappucci Coffee Bar, which is connected to Ostrovsky Fine Art Gallery. I took this video.
I had a Espresso con panna (I hardly ever order that) and it was fun. The espresso was average.
I asked if they get a lot of […]
I halfway expected Daniel Boone to meet me at the door when I first made my way over to Cabin Coffee Espresso yesterday. Despite the name, Cabin Coffee is situated in a fairly new shopping center at 67th Ave. & Happy Valley Rd. and is currently making other coffee shops look bad. I was highly […]
Here’s a fun video I captured of Jason Haeger while at the Arizona Barista Jam.
I visited The Coffee Buzz in Ahwatukee last weekend. It’s a coffee shop that has been open since October of 2005, and appears to be doing quite well. They offer free WiFi as well as a full breakfast and lunch menu. I took this video on my visit. The Coffee Buzz is a satelite location […]
While in Tucson for the Arizona Barista Jam I took some time to talk with Bill from Espresso Wrench. My video interview ends rather abruptly because my camera ran out of space. It’s still a good interview, and Bill’s experience at espresso machine repair and maintenance shines through. Espresso Wrench would be a good asset […]
