Event at Fair Trade Cafe

Fair Trade Cafe is hosting an event on March 30th at their coffee house. The event costs $125 per person and is geared towards consumers interested in learning the basics of coffee, and seeing and sampling various roasts and blends.

Les Beans a’la Fair Trade Café

Event Description: Come celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Arizona Women in Tune (AZWIT)* as a weekend of events culminates with an afternoon of coffee. The Les Beans event will include an interactive coffee roasting, a coffee cupping for those hard core coffee connoisseurs and coffee 101 for those who just enjoy their morning cup o’ joe and would like to know more.

It will be an exciting afternoon of coffee tasting, socializing and dessert pairings for particular roasts. Guests will receive a bag of AZWIT 15th Anniversary Blend, specially designed by our Fair Trade coffee roaster and available exclusively at this event.

*Proceeds to benefit Arizona Women in Tune (AZWIT). Founded in 1993, Arizona Women in Tune is a largely undiscovered jewel in the community of LGBT performing arts offerings in the Valley of the Sun. Under the gifted direction of Kimilee D. McCreary, M.M., the 60-member choir presents top-quality choral music from a wide range of genres and has performed in several international venues.

    $125. What I read does not seem to justify the cost of $125. Is this more of a fund raiser or something? Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it will be done with excellence, but $125? Chris have you heard any more about this event?
