CupZ in Scottsdale changes name to Gourmet Caffe

Chris Lee emailed me this morning to let me know of an interesting development for CupZ Coffee:
We headed out to CupZ at 136th & Via Linda (Scottsdale) this morning but the name had changed. It is called Gourmet Caffe. They were also closed. I didn’t see the specifics but thought the sign said they were open 7 am to 2 pm. Maybe closed Mondays?? Or closed indefinitely?
I phoned the Tempe location and asked about this and they told me that they sold the Scottsdale location last October. Tempe and Chandler/Gilbert are still going strong though.

I went there about three months ago, when it was called Gourmet Caffe. The prices were really high ($9 meals and $5 drinks) and I didn’t dig the atmosphere (felt like I was in an upscale furniture store and they had Fox News on the TV’s).
