A teenager was rushed to hospital after overdosing on espresso coffee.
The 17-year-old downed seven double espresso coffees while working in the family’s sandwich shop and was left “burning up and hyperventilating”.

Austin says:
After only seven doubles? Did someone say, “Light-weight?”
Eddie says:
I’ve done twelve shots on a bet before, though I wish I hadn’t.
Michael T says:
I’ve started sweating from drinking caffe espresso before. However, I’m not likely to drink more than a single espresso from a place that doesn’t have “coffee,” “cafe,” or “espresso” in its name.
Ben Wood says:
Caffeine, like alcohol, affects many people differently. I have a friend who gets sleepy when he has a latte (maybe the milk overcomes the caffeine effect?) and another who will go temporarily blind from drinking just one cup of coffee. She has to be very careful about any amount of caffeine.
