Remodeling is done, new bakery case is installed, the store looks good. Mgr Brendan is now baking and fresh pastries/muffins/cookies are available. I tried the raspberry turnover, it was delicious. Today I saw apple turnovers and chocolate brownies that looked very tempting. Brendan is a baker at heart so you never know what new recipe he might try and have some wonderful treat waiting for you to try. Check them out, you won't regret it.

Mountain View coffee is FANTASTIC. There are so many flavor options that it is hard to choose. Two of my favorites are Black Diamond (think chocolate covered cherry) and Almond Joy. They are both good hot or blended. I frequently visit the Glendale store-it's on the NE corner of 43rd Ave and Bell. The Baristas are very friendly. I enjoy just "hangin out" and reading a book or browsing the internet thru their wireless network. I feel like it's an extended living room or work space in the middle of some busy days. (This location is getting ready to add a bakery and is doing a bit of remodeling, but the coffee and service will not suffer) I found the new myspace link, check it out. Once you stop in, you'll be hooked. http://www.myspace.com/mountainviewcoffee

I've tried Mountain View Coffee in Fountain Hills and love it! The rear patio fronts on the Fountain which soars every hour on the hour. The baked goods are worth the trip as well as the expertly prepared specialty coffees! I'll have to try to hit the bakery and the Glendale store!

I realize now that the Scottsdale store is also the bakery -- so it makes sense that it was very small.

Just stopped at the Scottsdale location, but it was closed (9-5 m-f), so I'll stop again some other day. It's a really small store! As in, only 3 seats. The huge pastry rack looks awesome, though! I can't wait to go and try one of them.
