Fusion Coffee: 7-Eleven adds herbs
February 12, 2007 Posted by Chris Tingom Filed under Coffee
7-Eleven has decided to modify their coffee blend and use a sort of herbal blend. It’s called Fusion Blend and they’re working with a Vancouver based company that came up with the concept.
What herbs you ask, well, they are:
- Ginseng
- Guarana
- Yerba Mate
The Arizona Republic picked up on the story. Here’s a link to the article.

Eddie says:
Add “Do you have an herbal coffee” to the list of dumb questions people ask in REAL coffee shops. No coffee should be preground or blended with herbs of any sort. Call me a purist….
One Love.
TOMAS says:
Yerba Mate has been revered for all its healthy properties, it’s interesting that more people outside of South America haven’t caught on to it. Then again, you might have to get used to the taste.
Todd says:
I second Eddie’s remark. Let them work on the brewing, the grind, and the beans before they start monkeying with these add-ons.
