Boost Sales: Have a Starbucks Next Door?

Could it be that having a Starbucks near independent coffeehouses actually helps boost sales?
Hyman’s new neighbor boosted his sales so much that he decided to turn the tactic around and start targeting Starbucks. “We bought a Chinese restaurant right next to one of their stores and converted it, and by God, it was doing $1 million a year right away,” he said.

There is a Starbucks within walking distance of my house (and almost every house in the valley) but i would LOVE to have an independent coffeehouse in the same center!

Starbucks in between eXtreme Bean and Gold Bar.. a double whammy for boosting coffee sales huh? McClintock and Southern is like the nexus of Maricopa county coffee.
